"The saga will end. The story lives forever," is the bittersweet theme surrounding Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which marks the end of the beloved Skywalker saga. Whatever questions Star Wars fans have been theorising will finally be answered in December 2019 but the final trailer, which released a few hours back, give us a sneak-peek at the ultimate end! As per usual, the storyline has been kept to a minimum as the trailer rather focuses on its iconic characters, old and new.

"People keep telling me they know me. No one does," Rey (Daisy Ridley) says as she's the prominent fixture throughout the trailer. We get to see some more glimpses at what will be an epic battle between Rey and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), while the scene-stealer has to be C-3PO who gives us goosebumps with one heartbreaking line - "Taking one last look sir, at my friends." We also have a tearful hug shared between the late Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia and Rey. Then there's the returning Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) as well as the Emperor Palpatine tease us with the threatening line, "Long have I waited, and now your coming together is your undoing." Rest be assured, come December, hearts are going to break as promised in all the trailers that have released so far!

"Endings are the thing that scare me the most," JJ said to EW and added, "But we also were very much aware this is the end of the trilogy and it needs to satisfy. We went into this thing knowing it has to be an ending. We're not screwing around."
