When you mention the new age Star Wars movies, you cannot picture anyone else but Daisy Ridley. The English actor shot to fame after she joined the hit franchise to tell a new tale through Force Awakens. She portrayed the lead role of Rey in the 2015 movie and went on to reprise the role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. She will be seen playing Rey again in the last Star Wars movie as part of the ongoing trilogy, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However, the actress was on the verge of giving it all up during the filming of her first Star Wars movie.

The actress recently admitted that she almost walked out of the movie because it was all too overwhelming for the actress. As reported by CinemaBlend, Daisy made the shocking confession during an interview with Happy Sad Confused podcast. She recalled the daunting experience and said that it was horrid and scary.

"It was pretty horrid. It was really scary. I felt just sick and I didn’t really know anyone yet. It takes me a really long time to settle down with people. And I do remember being behind the speeder and there were loads of people there and somebody had an umbrella over me and even that, like, ‘Oh someone’s holding an umbrella over you? OK.’ And I remember thinking, ‘I can’t do it.’ Like I can’t do this, this is not right," she said. We are glad she overcame her struggle and we got a chance to watch her play Rey on the big screen.

In an interview to USA Today, the actress shed light on the backlash her 2017 film Star Wars: The Last Jedi received at the time of its release. "I wasn’t surprised, no. It’s just a different thing. Everyone’s going to have an opinion now anyway on the internet, but I also think it’s fair,” the actor said.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, directed by JJ Abrams, will release December 20, 2019.
