Spider Man star Tom Holland BREAKS his silence over the viral photos with mystery girl: I like my private life
A coupe of months ago, Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland was spotted with a mystery blonde girl. It was later revealed that she was Holland's family friend and could possibly be dating the Avengers: Endgame star. The actor has now reacted to the viral photos.
For the longest of time, Tom Holland was known to be in the spotlight for his role as the Spider-Man. But back in July, the actor became the talk of the tabloids when he was spotted with a mystery blonde girl. News spread that the British actor was dating the unknown woman and fans went gaga, weeping over their broken hearts. However, Holland was stressed out when the photos of his date painted the internet red. The actor recalled it wasn't "the best week" of his life.
Sharing his thought on the viral photos with GQ Magazine, the actor did not reveal details about his relationship with the woman. But, he revealed how stressful it was for him to wake up to those intrusive pictures. He said he was shocked by the turn of events. He added that it was a wake up call of sorts and he realised his life is going to be under surveillance constantly.
"I'm a very private person. If you do a Google search, I'm not a tabloid person. I don't like living in the spotlight. I'm quite good at only being in the spotlight when I need to be. Um, so…uh…it just was a bit of a shock to the system. It's the first time I've ever kind of been in the tabloids. It's the first time something like this has ever really happened to me. So it's a bit of a shock to the system. Um, but you know, but it's something that you look at and you go, ‘Oh, well, I just don't put myself in that situation again,'" he said.
He added, "For me, it's a reflection of a life that I don't live. And I like my private life, I like my friends, I like going out. And it—yeah, I just—” before the interviewer prompted him and added, "This was a new level of surveillance" and Holland continued, "Yeah. I was just, Whoa, what is going on here? And it was just a little stressful. You know, it was a wake-up of, like: This is what your life is now. So just be wary.”
When the photos reached online, not only was the name of the mystery girl making the headlines, but tabloids successfully managed to find out her Instagram account as well. The Sun had reported the mystery girl was Olivia Bolton, who is a family friend of the Hollands.
