Spider Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland REACTS to Gwyneth Paltrow not remembering her role in Homecoming
Remember when Gwyneth Paltrow couldn't remember she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming? Well, here's what Spider-Man: Far From Home actor has to say about that.
You remember Gwyneth Paltrow starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming. I remember Paltrow starred in Tom Holland's first standalone movie as the Spider-Man. Even Jon Favreau remembers Paltrow's Pepper Potts featuring in the post-credits scene of the Marvel movie. However, Paltrow stood in disbelief when she learned that she was a part of the MCU movie. A few weeks ago, Avengers: Endgame actress Gwyneth Paltrow blew up the internet. She got Twitter going gaga after she confessed she did not remember featuring in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Twitter was shocked, confused and amused by Paltrow's reaction over learning that she was in the Spider-Man movie. However, Holland was heartbroken to learn that Paltrow did not remember starring in Homecoming. The Spider-Man: Far From Home actor recently jokingly reacted to Paltrow's forgetting her part in Spider-Man: Homecoming during a game show for PopSugar. The actor said that he has worked with Paltrow just once and it broke his heart that she doesn't remember it.
"I mean, I’ve only worked with Gwyneth one time, on Spider-Man: Homecoming, which she doesn’t remember. Which still to this day breaks my heart," he said. Before anyone could correct him that they starred twice (the second being Avengers: Endgame), Holland said, "Actually, no that's not true [that they only worked together once]. One time when we were shooting Avengers: Infinity War I think it was -- no it was Endgame -- she was in her blue suit and I was in my Spider-Man suit. And she came up and asked me for my photo, with me and Robert. And then I think she posted it, 'Robert Downey Jr, myself, and this guy.' I was just the guy."
Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts also reacted to Paltrow forgetting she was a part of the movie. “I totally get it. When we shot that scene it happened so quickly that I was not surprised that she just thought that was Avengers because she doesn’t really even see Tom Holland [Spider-Man] in the scene, he’s gone by the time she steps in. So she shows up and does the scene with Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr., she’s going to think that’s the Avengers," he told Entertainment Weekly. “I thought it was so hilarious,” he added.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Far From Home hits cinemas on July 4. We hope to see a cameo from Paltrow, given that the events pick up soon after the ending of Avengers: Endgame. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
