Spider Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland predicted he would play Peter Parker six years ago
It was six years ago, even before Tom Holland was cast as Peter Parker, that the actor predicted he was going to play Spider-Man in the MCU. Tom will next be seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Tom Holland is arguably the best Spider-Man as well as Peter Parker! His entry into the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) took place in Captain America: Civil War (2016) where he was the highlight of the airport battle sequence which pitted Team Iron Man vs. Team Captain America. Subsequently, he got his own solo movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) which delved more into Spider-Man being enlisted as an Avenger. After Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame, we will next see Peter in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
But, did you know that Tom had predicted his Spider-Man casting, six years ago, even before he was officially signed as MCU's Peter Parker? According to ComicBook, an old interview of Holland's has surfaced where the actor was asked which superhero he would have liked to play. "Maybe Spider-Man, in like ten years time, maybe," Tom revealed while quipping that he would star in the "the reboot of the reboot" of the franchise. Funny, how predictions can actually come true!

Meanwhile, in an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla, Tom spoke about how he is proud of himself for keeping mum on the Avengers: Endgame spoilers. However, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Tom revealed *SPOILERS ALERT* that Spider-Man: Far From Home is a continuation of the after-effects of Avengers: Endgame, i.e. Peter's mentor Iron Man's death, in paticular.
Also starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, Spider-Man: Far From Home is slated to release on July 5, 2019.
