"We did it Mr. Stark!," is how we imagine Peter Parker's reaction would be if he were an actual person, hearing the amazing news which will definitely make the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans breathe a sigh of relief! For the uninitiated, after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home (which has crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box-office), there was a major public fallout between Sony and Disney/Marvel over striking a deal for Spider-Man. Fans were left gutted to know that there could be a chance we never got to see Peter Parker in the MCU.

But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, both parties have indeed struck up a deal which will see Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, produce the third Spider-Man film, starring Tom Holland. We also have a release date set for said movie, which is July 16, 2021. Jon Watts, who directed Far From Home and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) is in talks to helm the third installment as well. It's not just the 2021 Spider-Man film but the superhero will also appear in a Marvel movie, according to the new deal.

We did it Mr Stark!

An elated Kevin said to THR, "I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it," and added, "Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold."
