Singer Matt Cardle opens up about romance rumours with Meghan Markle before her wedding to Prince Harry
The UK-based singer has finally addressed rumours that he was romancing Meghan Markle before she began dating her now husband Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child baby Archie on May 6 and the parents have been enjoying this phase of parenthood. However, Meghan's life before she entered the royal family is discussed to great lengths even today. And the latest addition to that is a recent revelation made by singer Matt Cardle. The UK-based singer has finally addressed rumours that he was romancing Meghan Markle before she began dating her now husband Prince Harry.
According to a report in Daily Mail, Matt had appeared on a talk show when he spilled the beans about his relationship with Meghan. He revealed that he followed the actress on Twitter after appreciating her talent on legal drama Suits. Although Meghan apparently responded to Matt and told him that she 'loved' his work, Matt assured viewers that their relationship was 'nothing'.
He said, "It was so little then and if not nothing now. Yea, like I say it was nothing, it was absolutely nothing. It's quite funny how something can be made up from nothing." The report further revealed that Meghan and Matt began interacting when the former actress was recently divorced from her first husband Trevor Engelson. Matt also added that he eventually ended up ghosting Meghan because he met his girlfriend who helped him tackle his alcohol addiction.
Meghan said 'I Do' to Prince Harry last year in May and the couple have broken quite a few royal protocols since she entered the royal family.
