Selena Gomez REVEALS Taylor Swift cried when she heard Lose You Love Me for the very first time
Selena Gomez got candid in an interview about the first time she made Taylor Swift and her parents listen to Lose You To Love Me. The 27-year-old singer revealed that Taylor and her mother cried when they heard the gut-wrenching track.
It's been the week of Selena Gomez, as the young singer made her return to music with not just one, but two addictive singles. On one hand, we have the gut-wrenching Lose You To Love Me, where Selena digs deep into her soul and gives us a raw, unstripped version of her trials and tribulations. On the other hand, we have the extremely peppy Look At Her Now, where Gomez celebrates heartbreak and moving on. Both songs have made their way to our playlist, but no one is more of a fangirl than the 27-year-old singer's close friend, Taylor Swift.
During a conversation with Zane Lowe for New Music Daily, Taylor could not stop gushing about how proud she was of Selena and her recent music. "I'm so proud of her. She's been through so much. I've watched so much happen in her life. She is such a revelation because now she's making her best stuff," Swift shared. When Selena was asked about T-Swift's reaction, the singer stated that the Lover singer has been an amazing friend because she was frustrated when Gomez was frustrated and she was sad when Gomez was sad.
As a friend, Taylor visibly saw Selena in so much pain and didn't want it for her but she never stopped loving her. "And I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad and I showed her the video and her mom and Taylor started crying," Gomez told Zane.
"It wasn't because the song was emotional. It was just because the first thing they said to me was, 'We're so happy that you're here. After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.' And that's a huge thing for me," Selena concluded.
Friendship goals, indeed!
