Selena Gomez designs a swimsuit to cover her kidney transplant scar

Selena Gomez is in the news again as she has designed a swimsuit, which is a special one. She recently kicked off the launch of her friend Theresa Mingus’ brand, Krahs Swim and one of the swimsuits is a special high-waist swimwear. It is designed by the pop singer and it is part of Mingus' collection.

Gomez explained about the same in a YouTube video as she announced the launch of the label. She said, “The design I did, one of them, it was the high-waisted one with the belt. I’ve had a kidney transplant, and I like bathing suits that kind of cover where that’s been and make me feel comfortable."

Mingus said, “Every woman wants to feel sexy. Every woman wants to feel confident and beautiful. I definitely want to have a variety of different pieces so everyone can wear them.” In the same video, Selena revealed how she enjoyed designing the swimwear. Gomez also praised Mingus who was her personal assistant earlier.

For the unversed, in 2017, Gomez revealed that she underwent a kidney transplant and the same was the part of her lupus treatment. Gomez apparently will design three limited edition swimwear and the collection will be called as Selena x Krahs Swim. It will include plunging ‘Selena’ top, the ‘Selena’ high-waisted bottoms and ‘Selena’ one-piece.
