Annie Murphy has some exciting news! The 34-year-old Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek star has reportedly been signed on for season two of the Netflix series Russian Doll, TV Line reported earlier today. While most details about the character Annie is going to play are under wraps at the moment, we do know that the production for season two began this week.

If you didn’t know, Russian Doll premiered in 2019 and stars Natasha Lyonne as Nadia Vulvokov, a coder who is forced to re-live her 36th birthday on a nightmarish loop when she keeps dying and coming back to life. Annie‘s Russian Doll casting comes in the wake of her new role in a new dysfunctional family movie with Ben Platt and Allison Janney.

If you’re not aware, Annie Murphy is known for her hilarious role in Schitt’s Creek. The show is jam-packed with wit, sarcasm and hilarious commentary. It takes no time for you to be hooked onto the crazy dialogues which are all delivered with a nonchalance which makes it funnier. The actress essays the role of Alexis Rose in the series. The comedy-drama follows the tale of a married couple suddenly go bankrupt and the only remaining asset they have is an ugly small town named Schitt's Creek.
