The superhit film Deadpool 2 starring Green Lantern actor Ryan Reynolds could have featured Fantastic Four's character The Thing fighting it out with the evil forces. Now as per the latest news, Tim Miller has revealed how his plans for the Deadpool sequel included the Fantastic Four's character. While talking about the film Deadpool 2, on The Playlist‘s 'Fourth Wall' podcast, the director candidly admits that he wanted Fantastic Four's character, called The Thing to battle it out with X-Men villain called Juggernaut.
But, as we all know, the Fantastic Four's character sadly did not feature in the film Deadpool 2. The director Tim Miller had even managed to get the approvals from 20th Century Fox to include The Thing's character in Deadpool's sequel. The film Deadpool 2 saw David Leitch's direction, but without Fantastic Four's character. The widely loved and appreciated character of The Thing has appeared in films like 2005 and 2015's Fantastic Four films, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer which hit the big screen in the year 2007. The fans would have genuinely loved to see the Thing's character fight alongside Ryan Reynolds character but sadly, David Leitch did not like the idea of having Fantastic Four's character in the Deadpool sequel.
During the podcast, Tim Miller also admitted that he wanted to add more to the role of actress Morena Baccarin who essayed the character called Vanessa, the love interest of Ryan Reynolds character in the film. The fans and film audience are wondering if the Fantastic Four's character the Thing will ever feature in any of the Deadpool films in the near future.
