Rihanna & LVMH decide to put Fenty Fashion on hold; Their teams winding down remaining operations in Paris HQ?
Rihanna’s Fenty Fashion will reportedly be put on hold now “pending better conditions.” Scroll down to see why LVMH and the singer decided to take this move.
Rihanna-- the pathbreaking force that has set her niche in beauty, fashion and entertainment industry is taking things slow! It was recently announced that the singer’s Fenty fashion line with the French luxury group LVMH is currently on hold. The luxury conglomerate released a statement on the decision, telling WWD, “Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW [ready-to-wear] activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions.”
Sources told the publication that a “skeleton staff remains at the Paris headquarters of Fenty fashions to wind down remaining operations.” For the unversed, Fenty fashion line has not been updated since December and their Instagram has not posted since January 1, 2021. While LVMH will still develop more on the other Fenty brands like Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, it is unknown when Fenty Fashion will resume operations.
On the professional front, back in July 2020, Rihanna opened up about releasing new music. Speaking with ET Online about her new Fenty Skincare line, the 32-year-old singer touched a bit about upcoming music. “I am always working on music,” Rihanna shared. “And when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.” She also added that “I’m not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it.”
