Priyanka Chopra has once again defended her long time friend Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Yes! You heard it right. The Quantico actress has now emerged to be one of the biggest defenders of Meghan Markle whenever it comes to any kind of controversy which is related to the latter. It so happened that Meghan Markle has been a subject of a lot of trolls and other insulting remarks despite being a part of the royal family now. This thing has continued ever since Meghan and Prince Harry's relationship was made public back in the year 2017.
In one of her recent interactions with the media, Priyanka has stated that the criticism received by Meghan is really unfortunate. The actress also went on to add that Meghan Markle is, in fact, a victim of racism. She also praised Meghan by stating that the Duchess has been herself despite tolerating everything. Previously, there were some reports about an ongoing feud between Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle when the Duchess did not attend the latter's wedding with International singer Nick Jonas. But now, following Priyanka's defensive statement on Meghan Markle, it can definitely be said that those were just mere rumours.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will be next seen in the upcoming movie The Sky is Pink which has been directed by Shonali Bose. The movie also features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in the lead roles. The movie is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2019. It has been jointly produced by Priyanka Chopra, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
