Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are busy enjoying parenthood in the safe walls of their Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. However, in a first, Prince Harry has accepted damages and an apology today from Splash News, which took aerial photos of his and Meghan Markle's USD 3 million, four-bedroom country home in Cotswold Hills, England, reported E!News. The news portal had resorted to the use of a helicopter to get upclose to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's home back in January.

The Buckingham Palace in a statement said that the published pictures put the royal couple's safety at risk. Harry and Meghan were forced to leave their home after the photos were published in outlets including The Times newspaper, a royal source familiar with the case told CNN.

"The syndication and publication of the photographs very seriously undermined the safety and security of The Duke and the home to the extent that they are no longer able to live at the property," the palace said in a statement. Harry and Meghan recently moved into their new home before the birth of their first child.

They are known to be a fiercely private couple with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex even celebrating the birth of baby Archie privately first as a family and then sharing it with the world. The news portal since the incident has offered apology. In a statement, Splash said it has "always recognised that this situation represents an error of judgement and we have taken steps to ensure it will not be repeated. We apologise to the Duke and Duchess for the distress we have caused."
