People's Choice Awards 2019: BTS loses all THREE awards to BLACKPINK & ARMY is fuming
BTS was nominated in three categories at the recently concluded People's Choice Awards. However, the popular K-Pop band won no awards at the PCAs 2019 and the ARMY is extremely upset.
You would think that BTS would have taken home all the awards it was nominated at the People's Choice Awards because, well, they are BTS. However, the ARMY was shocked that BTS stood empty-handed by the end of the PCA ceremony. The popular K-Pop band was nominated for Group of 2019, Music Video of 2019 and Concert Tour of 2019. However, the seven-member boy band lost all the three awards to all-women K-Pop band BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK constitutes of four women: Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo.
Apart from winning the Group of 2019 and Concert Tour of 2019, BLACKPINK's Kill This Love won the Music Video of 2019. Not only did the girl group beat BTS, but they also made history by becoming the first female k-pop to top music categories of People's Choice Awards 2019. The end result has obviously not gone down well with the ARMY. BTS fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment over the result through the hashtag: "#ThePeopleChooseBTS".
Fans are pointing out at every milestone the K-Pop band achieved this year and justified why BTS deserved to win. They also called out PCA. "bts deserves to have won pca. army lets just trend #ThePeopleChooseBTS without attacking blackpink. they arent responsible for what happened. pca is the rat here[sic]," a fan wrote. "Let's not blame Blackpink for it and clown then or something. Instead, blame the pca for not giving us proper explanation when we clearly vote for BTS alot, they have no proof to say we are using bots too so I hope all fans stop assuming that. We need black n white for proof PCA," another fan pointed out.
