Peggy Carter turns Captain America & clinches on to the shield in Marvel's What If? FIRST look; Check it out
Peggy Carter looks like she's turned into Captain America (or Captain Britain) for the new Disney Plus animated series What If? The footage was shown at D23, revealing her new suit and shield.
Ever wondered, what if Peggy Carter were to take on the responsibilities which were previously carried out by Captain America? If that question has ever crossed your mind, then Marvel Studios' new show titled What If? might answer it for you. Taking the centre stage at the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed the first look of an animated version of Peggy Carter dressed up in a suit similar to Captain America and holding up the shield from the upcoming Disney Plus show.
Confirming the show during the San Diego Comic-Con 2019, it was previously revealed that the animated show would see Peggy Carter receive the super-soldier serum in the Disney+ series. The footage shared at the expo sees the animated Peggy beefed up and protecting the world. However, unlike Captain America's suit, the new superhero is seen going about saving the world in a suit with the Union Jack on the suit, instead of the typical stars and stripes, transforming her to Captain Britain of sorts.
Haley Atwell will return to play Peggy in the series. It has also been confirmed that Steve Rogers will appear in the show and he will fill the shoes of Iron Man. Imagine, what a nice Iron Man we would get for a change. We wonder who's shoes Tony Stark will fill on the show.
Both Steve and Peggy have a happy ending in Avengers: Endgame. Steve is seen travelling back into time and choosing to grow old with Peggy. He eventually passes the mantle to Falcon. Falcon will be seen donning the Captain America suit in the Disney Plus show, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Are you excited about the new Disney Plus line up?
