PCAs 2019: Kevin Hart makes 1st public appearance since car crash; Robert Downey Jr celebrates the actor's win
Kevin Hart made his first red carpet appearance at the People's Choice Awards 2019 since the car crash. The actor received the Comedy Act of 2019 presented by Robert Downey Jr.
If you were looking for Kevin Hart's health update, the actor recently gave a glimpse of his improving health. The Jumanji: The Next Level star made his way to the People's Choice Awards 2019 and assured fans that he is getting better. His People's Choice appearance marked his first public event since Hart's near-death car accident in September. Hart won The Comedy Act of 2019 at the PCA. Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr walked on the stage to present the actor with the award.
Accepting his award, Hart thanked God for helping get through the car crash alive. "First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don't have to be here. Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life even more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter," he said.
He went on to thank his family for being by his side while he recovered for the horrific injuries. "Family. I want to thank my wife and kids, who really stepped up to the plate for me." He concluded the speech by thanking his fans. "You have no idea the effect you have on us as entertainers your energy, your support. It means the world and I truly want to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time." Later, RDJ took to Instagram to celebrate Hart's victory. The actor shared a picture with Hart and wrote, "A big congrats to @kevinhart4real for tonight’s win at the @peopleschoice."
Hart's appearance comes ahead of his upcoming release Jumanji: The Next Level. His PCA attendance would mean that Hart might join the Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillian and other cast and crew members in the promotions of the December release.
