The Oscars 2021 nominees announcement was historic in more ways than one. While diversity was at play, several artists like Viola Davis, Chloe Zhao, Riz Ahmed, Steven Yeun and Emerald Fennel made history with their nominations. Meanwhile, the presenters themselves were no less behind. The Oscars 2021 nominations were announced by none other than Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas from London. The live presentation saw the couple announce the nominees with ease as well as have fun. 

Adding another feather to her already diverse hat, Priyanka became the first Indian to announce Oscar nominations in its 93-year Academy Award history. Fans were quick to take note of Priyanka's big moment on the global stage as one netizen tweeted, "When #PriyankaChopra says she wants have a legacy, she is not joking. Hats off to this woman. I am in awe of her achievements."

"They both did an amazing job. Well done. #PriyankaChopra #NickJonas," tweeted another fan. While Nick rocked a bright blue yellow suit, Priyanka looked striking in a blue outfit. 

Apart from announcing the nominees, Priyanka also was ecstatic about her own film The White Tiger being nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Taking to social media, the actress wrote, "We just got nominated for an Oscar! Congratulations Ramin and team #TheWhiteTiger. Somehow announcing the nomination myself made it so much more special. So so proud."
