Nikki Bella REVEALS how breakup with John Cena affected her last WWE run

John Cena and Nikki Bella were a match made in WWE heaven. The couple, who had dated for six years, was engaged to be married. However, the pair called it quits last year over a difference of opinions. Around the time of their breakup, Nikki was involved in her last feud of WWE before her retirement announcement. She was up against WWE Women's Champion Ronda Rousey at the first ever women wrestlers-centric pay-per-view, Evolution. It was her last match in WWE.

In her podcast On The Bellas with sister Brie Bella, Nikki got candid about how her last run in WWE was depressing and miserable. Nikki shared that it was way too soon for her to come back to WWE post the breakup and that she had to force a smile on her face the entire time. "I was just so sad because the person that was the love of my life [John Cena]... that was my home, that was where we started, so I was actually happy that we became heels because then I didn't have to put that forced smile on my face and I could act like a b—, you know what I mean?"

As of now, Nikki has happily moved on with her former Dancing With The Stars pro-partner Artem Chigvintsev, as she revealed it on Total Bellas.

On the other hand, John has moved on with product manager Shay Shariatzadeh. The WWE wrestler was spotted on a romantic date with Shay in Vancouver, Canada.
