Nick Jonas REVEALS most of his songs 'are pretty much just love letters' to Priyanka Chopra
In a recent interview, Nick Jonas shared the inspiration behind his new songs which will be a part of his album, Spaceman.
Nick Jonas fans are getting double the treat this week as the 28-year-old singer didn't just drop a new solo single titled Spaceman, but will also be tackling double duty as host and performer on the iconic variety show Saturday Night Live. Moreover, Nick will also be releasing his highly-awaited solo album, also titled Spaceman on March 12.
In a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe via Entertainment Tonight, Nick spoke candidly about the inspiration behind his new songs which is none other than ladylove Priyanka Chopra."She loves it. Most of the songs are pretty much just love letters, which when I can't articulate the way I feel with my words with no music, I go to the studio. And I'm grateful to have that because it makes her happy, and that's most important," Jonas revealed.
Nick noted that he loves a big radio song as everyone else but he also loves moments when he's able to take an idea or concept; the feeling of trying to capture what this year looked like as far as that isolation. Nick recounted how he was away from Priyanka for a few months as she was filming in the UK which is when he started making the record.
"And then the reconnection, understanding there is hope on the other side. I feel like the album is inherently hopeful and I want people to feel that when they listen to it," Nick concluded.
