Miley Cyrus reacts sharply after the groping incident says, 'She CAN'T BE grabbed without her consent'
Miley Cyrus sends out a powerful statement post the groping incident, makes it loud and clear that touching anyone without consent is not acceptable!
Singer Miley Cyrus recently became a victim of groping during one of her visits to Barcelona. While leaving the hotel with husband Liam Hemsworth, a fan of hers groped her leaving her horrified. In a video which has gone viral, one unidentified male fan is seen pulling the Wrecking Ball singer by her neck and kiss her. The security pulled the two apart and Liam pulled Miley in front of him as they went towards their car and left. While many on Twitter exploded, Miley, in a powerful statement, has now reacted to the incident and has made it loud and clear that despite all odds, touching anyone without their consent is condemnable and NOT acceptable.
She tweeted, "She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people. She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent." Her tweet was followed by the hashtag “#DontF—WithMyFreedom” — a reference to one of the lyrics in her new song 'Mother’s Daughter'. Cyrus also attached a clip from Inside Edition of a reporter where hosts discussed how her personal space should not have been violated, come what may.
Reacting to comments which were nasty, Miley shared another screenshot and reiterated that whatever be the case, she didn't ask for it to happen. Check out her statement right here.
