Michelle Obama YELLED at ex POTUS Barack Obama for breaking COVID safety protocols during 2021 inauguration
Amanda Gorman recently revealed that former first lady Michelle Obama was upset at Barack Obama for hugging too many people during the 2021 Presidential Inauguration ceremony.
Amanda Gorman who presented a beautiful poem at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration last week, recently opened up on what was happening behind the scenes at the ceremony. The 22-year-old poet, who was the talk of the town after her moving speech at President Biden‘s Inauguration, appeared for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she got candid about the things happening behind the scenes.
During the interview, Amanda revealed that former First Lady Michelle Obama was a little upset with former President Barack Obama for a very understandable reason. “I remember Michelle Obama, like, being close,” Amanda recalled. “And she kind of kept yelling at Barack, like, ‘Stop hugging people. Stop getting close to people.’” Amanda continued, “And then when I was done, she kind of like pushed him out the way and gave me the just the biggest, warmest Michelle Obama hug.”
Later on in the chat, Amanda also opened up about having met the former first lady previously, but how she always wants to make a better impression than last time. “I have met Michelle a few times before,” Amanda shared. “Not Barack. And whenever I meet Michelle I hope that she forgets meeting me, because I just want a do-over. I just want a clean slate. Like, I just want to do it right this time. But she always remembers and she’s always great.”
For the unversed, Amanda Gorman is an American poet and activist. Her work focuses on issues of oppression, feminism, race, and marginalization, as well as the African diaspora.
