Meghan Markle wins hearts for flaunting postpartum bump and keeping it real after son Archie's birth
Meghan Markle won hearts of women across the world for depicting a true picture of what a woman's body actually looks like post birth.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out on Wednesday and introduced to the world their first born -- Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The family of three made their first public appearance at St George's Hall at Windsor Castle with Meghan and Harry beaming with pride. While all eyes were on baby Archie, Meghan Markle stole the show as the newest mum on block. The Duchess of Sussex made her appearance just 48 hours after going in labour and may we say Meghan simply looked radiant.
Apart from looking and feeling great as she said she did, Meghan put across a poignant message by flaunting her post-baby bump in a white trench dress. Meghan won hearts of women across the world for depicting a true picture of what a woman's body actually looks like post birth. She did not shy away from showing off her post-baby bump which she accentuated with the belt on her dress.
The comments on the official Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all praise for Meghan for keeping it real. Unlike Kate Middleton and Lady Diana, who addressed the media within 24 hours of delivery, Meghan took time to recover and kept it real. One comment read, "I absolutely love that she did woman kind a favor by showing off her postpartum body."
While another one said, "Lovely pictures! I think is great that Harry is holding the baby in all of them. I wish you all the best as a family. Thank you Meghan for showing everybody how is a new mummy's body."
The royal family has often come under criticism for its protocol of new mothers posing with their newborn outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital within 24 hours of their delivery. And making sure they look almost perfect as well as not show too much of their postpartum body. Kudos to Meghan and Harry for showing how it's actually done.
