Meghan Markle rocking the saree look in her 2017 India visit goes viral again thanks to newly released footage

A year before she married Prince Harry and turned into a British royal family member and named Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle made a trip down to India. The former Suits actress, who is dear friends with Indian star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, has always had a special place for the country. And we saw a glimpse of it back in 2017. Meghan was on tour to India about two years ago on a secret charity mission with regard to her work with NGO World Vision Canada. 

Although the Duchess hasn't spoken much about her visit, nor was there news about her work in India, new reports have now revealed that PeeCee's BFF's trip had many events and meets related to feminism and women's issues. New videos and photos show the former TV star interacting with teenagers and children. 

As though this did not warm our hearts, a new footage featuring Meghan draped in a saree is going viral. Meghan is seen wearing a stunning blue and green saree matched with a golden blouse. The footage, shared by ITV News, sees the royal family member smiling while looking as desi as possible in the look. Meghan made sure she made the look as authentic as possible by placing a traditional bindi that completed the look.

Fans have gone gaga over the new photos and video. Several royal fans took to social media platforms to share their thoughts on the look. "Wow! Doesn't #MeghanMarkle look incredibly beautiful in a saree? #DuchessOfSussex," read a tweet. "Meghan was Duchessing before she was a Duchess. So beautiful in that sari," added another. 

While you drool over her desi look, we're keeping a lookout for the royal baby announcement. Yes, as we know, Meghan and Prince Harry are expecting their first born soon. If you remember, Kate Middleton and Prince William, and Prince Charles and Princess Diana have been photographed with their babies after the royal ladies were discharged.

However, Meghan and Harry want to keep their childbirth a private affair. The Buckingham Palace confirmed with a statement that reads, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
