Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be baptised this weekend and a latest report now suggests that the christening ceremony will be held on July 6. Baby Archie who was born on May 6 will be baptised exactly two months later, reported People. The big day is all set to take place at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Meghan and Harry said 'I Do' in 2018, and where Harry was also christened in 1984.

The report suggests that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose the location since it wasn't too far away from their new Frogmore home and because they “wanted an intimate, peaceful setting" for baby Archie. A source told People, close family members will attend baby Archie's ceremony. Around 25 close family and friends will be in attendance.

Earlier, royal sources told the Sunday Times that Meghan and Harry may opt for a completely private affair. If they do, Meghan and Harry will forgo another royal tradition concerning baby Archie. While christening ceremonies are anyway a private affair, Prince William and Kate Middleton had allowed press photographers to click candid pictures of the family outside the chapel.

“This is a beautiful milestone and they are excited to share it as a family first and then with the world,” a source told People. Meghan and Harry will share pictures from the christening via their Instagram account a day later. However, there has been no word on who will be baby Archie's godparents.
