Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may head to Africa for their first royal tour after baby Archie's birth

Prince Harry will soon be making a royal tour to Africa and is scheduled to visit Angola, Malawi, and South Africa, where he will continue to carry out the legacy of Princess Diana’s humanitarian work.

Weeks after the arrival of their first child, baby Archie, the royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning their next royal tour. While the world has just seen a fleeting glimpse of baby Archie after his birth on May 6, his parents the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not dropped any hints about Archie's appearance. Prince Harry will soon be making a royal tour to Africa and is scheduled to visit Angola, Malawi, and South Africa, where he will continue to carry out the legacy of Princess Diana’s humanitarian work on the continent that she loved and often spent time in, reported ITV.

The report also stated that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is likely to accompany her husband. However, no official confirmation has been made as yet. Princess Diana was known for her extensive work in the African regions and her son Prince Harry intends on fully carrying it forward.

As part of his royal duties, Prince Harry will visit Sentebale charity which supports young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi. The charity was co-founded by Harry and the Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006. Apart from that, Prince Harry may also travel to Angola, where Princess Diana visited and famously walked through an active landmine area.

While Meghan's visit is still speculative owing to security concerns and the fact that she is still on maternity leave, there is no word on whether baby Archie will be accompanying his parents for the tour.

Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined The Queen and members of The Royal Family at the annual Trooping the Colour, to celebrate Her Majesty’s official birthday. Trooping the Colour orginated from traditional preparations for battle and has commemorated the birthday of the sovereign for more than 250 years. In the 18th century, guards from the royal palaces regularly assembled to “troop" colours or flags down the rank, so they could be seen and recognised by the soldiers. In 1748, it was announced this parade would also mark the Sovereign’s official birthday. Trooping the Colour is performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies for The Queen’s birthday parade, allowing them to pay a personal tribute to Her Majesty. Today over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians came together on Horse Guards Parade in London in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare. The parade concludes with a 41-gun salute fired by The King’s Troop, following which The Queen leads members of The Royal Family back to the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Royal Air Force flypast display.
