Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to have baby Archie's christening on THIS date?
As per reports, Archie Harrison's christening will be held next month. The location is likely to be where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot last year at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's little bundle of joy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor arrived in their lives on May 6 and now more than a month later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are prepping for baby Archie's christening. As per international reports, Archie Harrison's christening will be held next month. The location is likely to be where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot last year at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. However, Queen Elizabeth is not expected to attend the christening.
While the date of the ceremony has not yet been officially declared, reports state that the Palace has confirmed that the Queen won't be attending the ceremony. The reason for the Queen's absence has to do with prior commitments which cannot be shifted to another date.
Now, there are two dates in the month of July which the Queen will be busy on and her absence from the royal event means that baby Archie's christening is likely to be on the same date. The Queen will be away from Windsor on July 3 because she will be hosting a garden party at her official residence in Scotland, Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Then on July 9 she is due to visit Cambridgeshire, which would also make it difficult for her to be present for the christening at St George’s Chapel, reported the Daily Express.
This mean baby Archie's christening will be held on either July 3 or July 9. However, this is not a first. Queen Elizabeth had also missed Prince William and Kate Middleton's third child Prince Louis' christening last year.
