Meghan Markle accused of aping book cover by Australian authors for her British magazine cover
The cover of the magazine which was released earlier this week showcases 15 trailblazing women who have and continue to bring about change.
Meghan Markle's latest outing as guest editor of British Vogue has garnered attention from all over. From putting together an impactful edition to featuring women from diverse backgrounds, Meghan touched upon various issues in the edition. The cover of the magazine which was released earlier this week showcases 15 trailblazing women who have and continue to bring about change in their own little ways. However, the former 'Suits' star is being accused of copying the cover from a 2016 book, reported Fox News.
Turns out, the magazine's cover seemed to have similarities with Australian authors Samantha Brett and Steph Adams' bestselling book titled "The Game Changers", which Meghan also contributed to in 2016. Speaking to Fox News, the authors said that the similarities between their book and magazine are "flattering" but "disappointing."
Samantha Brett said, "It's obviously very flattering, she must like our concept! I love Meghan and am a huge fan, but it is a little bit disappointing," she said of the cover which shows the faces of various women placed in separate boxes. The issue is titled as 'Forces for Change' and Meghan worked over a period of seven months to curate the edition.
Whereas Steph Adams echoed similar sentiments and said that Meghan could have achieved an even greater impact if she had written a book herself in which she interviewed these women and donated the money to charity.
The September issue of British Vogue also features Prince Harry interviewing Dr Jane Goodall. The Duke of Sussex revealed during the interview the maximum number of kids he and Meghan Markle plan on having.
