Marvel's Kevin Feige REVEALS if MCU will ever see a superhero who doesn't possess a 'perfect figure'
With the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming to an end, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige in a group interview recently revealed that soon there would be plus size superheroes or heroes who do not have an 'envious figure'.
Marvel Studios will soon be unleashing the most epic and highly-anticipated film of all time, Avengers: Endgame on April 26 in India. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming to an end, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige in a group interview recently revealed that soon there would be plus size superheroes or heroes who do not have an 'envious figure'. While we adore MCU heroes like Chris Hemsworth aka Thor or Brie Larson aka Captain Marvel for their toned body, many feel that superheroes are stereotyped.
In an interview, Kevin Feige was quizzed whether Marvel would like to introduce superheroes who don't possess the "perfect figure", Feige said here with a laugh: "Yes, I would because then maybe I can be a superhero." Addressing the notion that more often than not superheroes are stereotyped, he said, "Traditionally, if you look at the way they are drawn in the comics, they go to very iconic mythic proportions. We happen to have many actors and actresses who have mythic proportions themselves for real but I will just say yes and perhaps sooner than you think," he said during a group interview here."
Marvel's Black Panther was one of MCU's most diverse films with African-American actors leading the film. The film also went on to win an Oscar. Reports also suggest that Marvel is bringing its first Asian-led superhero film on Shang-Chi. Avengers: Endgame will release on different dates in different parts of the world.
