Miley Cyrus turned 27 on 23rd November. The young singer gained fame from her Disney Channel show, Hannah Montana where she played the role of Miley Stewart. Her dad Billy Ray Cyrus also acted in the show as her father. Her singing career started right from her Disney days. Her song ‘He could be the one’ was on the US Billboard Hot 100. She has acted in several movies including Hannah Montana : The movie, The Last Song, and she also appeared in other Disney Channel shows in the crossover episodes. 

Miley is an animal rights activist and became vegan in 2014. Miley Cyrus founded the nonprofit Happy Hippie Foundation which helps the homeless and LGBT communities. Her birth name is Destiny Hope. She was nicknamed Smiley as she smiled a lot as a child. Her parents later shortened the nickname her name to Miley. It was 2008 when she changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus.
