Directioners have been witnessing a dry spell when it comes to the One Direction reunion as the boys had promised only an 18-month break when they first announced their hiatus. However, it's been three years and counting and given the solo success that the four bandmates (Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan) are currently witnessing, the hiatus could last long, for an indefinite future. However, there are the mini-reunions we keep getting, between any two of the members, that keep the Directioners alive and thriving!

Recently, both Liam and Louis headlined the Coca-Cola Music Experience Festival in Madrid. When Payne performed, he made sure to give a special shoutout to both Tomlinson as well as Niall, who celebrated his 26th birthday on September 13, 2019. "Louis is hiding out there as well, somewhere. We both discussed that we forgot to wish Niall a happy birthday," Liam said and got the entire crowd to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Horan. It was truly an unmissable moment!

Niall took to his Twitter page to tweet his thanks to the fans for the birthday wishes. "Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday. Appreciate the love as always. Please keep supporting my fundraiser over the next few days, let’s raise as much as we can," the Slow Hands singer tweeted.

However, Horan added an extra special tweet just for Payno to thank him for his special gesture in Madrid. "Shout to Payno for getting the crowd at the festival to sing happy birthday to me as well .. loved that," Niall tweeted to which the For You singer responded, "Anytime."
