Leonardo DiCaprio on retirement from Hollywood: I’m going to keep going as long as they’ll have me
Leonardo DiCaprio, who will next be seen in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, was asked if he is thinking of early retirement like filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. Read below to know what Leo had to say on the same.
Leonardo DiCaprio is back on the silver screen since his Oscar-winning performance in The Revanant (2015). This time, we will see the star as the 1960s struggling actor Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino's ninth film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. It will be the first time that we see Leo and Brad Pitt star in the same movie as the latter plays Rick's handsome stunt double, Cliff Booth. In several interviews, Quentin has spoken about how his 10th film will be his last and that he's looking at early retirement.
That begs the question, is Leonardo thinking of early retirement as well? To this, the actor revealed to People, "I mean, I suppose at some point I might retire, but I’ve always looked at this as the greatest gift that anyone’s ever given me. I feel like I won the lotto, so I’m going to keep going as long as they’ll have me." Subsequently, in an earlier interview with GQ Australia, Leo's co-star Brad had stated that according to him, Hollywood is a younger man's game. "I just feel, the game itself, it'll move on naturally. There will be a natural selection to all," Pitt had stated.
We're glad that Leo is not giving up on acting, any time soon!
