The weekend seemed deadly for Kevin Hart as the actor was involved in a horrific car crash on Mulholland Highway. The accident, which took place on September 1, 2019, had Kevin on the passenger's seat, Jared S. Black on the driver's seat along with the latter's fiancée and Kevin's wife Eniko Hart's personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman. It was Kevin's 40th birthday gift to himself, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, that scraped off the side of the road, leaving Kevin and Jared with major injuries to the back.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Jumanji: The Next Level star is now resting comfortably after he had back surgery due to the injuries caused by the car crash. Currently, Kevin is still in the hospital. Meanwhile, TMZ caught up with Hart's wife Eniko who gave an update on her husband's health post the car crash. "He's great. He’s going to be just fine. He's good. Everybody's good, thank God," Eniko revealed. When it comes to Rebecca, the fitness trainer was left only with minor injuries, unlike Kevin and Jared, who were severely injured.

Meanwhile, many close friends of Kevin Hart from Hollywood took to their social media pages to wish a speedy recovery to the actor. Hart's The Upside (2017) co-stars Nicole Kidman and Bryan Cranston sent their prayers on Instagram.

While Nicole wrote, "Sending love and prayers to you Kevin," Bryan wrote, "I’ve just heard that @kevinhart4real was injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles. Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother. B."
