The recent merger between Disney and 20th Century Fox has gotten the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, owned by Fox, under the radar of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). It's being suggested that the only character to not be recast in the near future of the MCU is Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Rumours were further rife of Deadpool having a cameo in Spider-Man: Far From Home, as a welcome introduction. There were also rumours of Deadpool as a part of a new Disney+ series.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige cleared the air about the Deadpool's introduction rumours in Spider-Man: Far From Home. "No, I mean we're certainly having conversations about the future of all of those Fox properties. How to weave them in and when to weave them in. That one, in particular, is not the case." Feige revealed. Guess we will have to wait some more for Deadpool as well as the other X-Men characters like Professor X and Magneto from being introduced in the MCU.

Meanwhile, a few months ago, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld stated to CinemaBlend that Deadpool should enter the MCU only if Ryan remains in constant control. Rob shared, "Only if Ryan [Reynolds] calls the shots. … If Ryan is not the guy who is helming that ship, then who cares? If Ryan is given everything that he deserves, and they say ‘You can do your own thing over here under Disney.'"
