Kelly Clarkson undergoes appendix surgery after hosting 2019 Billboard Music Awards; Read details
The 2019 Billboard Music Awards was hosted by singer and song writer Kelly Clarkson who made sure the show went on despite suffering from pain.
It was a starry starry affair last evening at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards which saw a bevy of musicians and celebs set the stage on fire. Right from Cardi B to Taylor Swift to Drake to Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, scores of celebs were dressed their best for the do and turned up the heat. The musical extravaganza was hosted by singer and song writer Kelly Clarkson who made sure the show went on despite suffering from pain.
The singer took to Twitter to inform her fans and followers that she indeed was in terrible pain. Soon after the concert Kelly flew down to Los Angeles from Las Vegas for her appendix surgery. On Twitter, Kelly wrote, "Not gonna lie.... I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix. #TheShowMustGoOn."
Well. kudos to Kelly for hosting the entire night and even sang two songs without any apparent signs of discomfort. Kelly also thanked her husband and manager Brandon Blackstock for being by her side as well as her entire team including her photographer, assistant and more. A representative for the pop star tells E! News that Kelly Clarkson is "doing great" after undergoing surgery to remove her appendix.
