Kanye West was not the biggest fan of Kim Kardashian's MET Gala 2019 look, found KUWTK star's dress too sexy
Kim Kardashian's scene-stealing Thierry Mugler dress at the MET Gala 2019 left everyone amazed and baffled. However, before the big fashion event, Kim was in a state of anxiety because of Kanye West's disapproval of what he called a "too sexy" dress, according to the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 17. Kim Kardashian was the talk of the fashion town in May 2019 during the prestigious MET Gala 2019. Her bold and beautiful look left everyone amazed and baffled! For fashion's big night, Kim opted for a skin-tight (that would be an understatement!) nude Thierry Mugler dress which was dripping in beads and sequins and her waist was almost invisible. On the other hand, Kanye West was in contrast with his wife as he sported a simple black bomber jacket and black pants. Also, the rapper seemed to be in a hollow mood on the red carpet while Kim stole the show.
However, in the recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 17, we might have an answer for why Kanye dressed the way he did. Before the MET Gala event, Kim was blindsided by her husband who didn't seem too excited about Kim's dress. "Like the corset, underwear, all that vibe, I just feel like I just went through this transition of being a rapper, and lookin' at all these girls… I didn't realize that that was affecting like my soul and my spirit," Kanye stated while adding that he isn't happy about his wife showing off her body, while they were going to become parents of four (Psalm West was yet to be born at that time).
The 38-year-old reality star, whose dress took eight months to prepare, lashed out at her husband for giving her so much anxiety. "The night before you’re going to come in here and say you’re not into the corset look? You’re giving me really bad anxiety... I don’t need any more negative energy," Kim exclaimed.
To this, Kanye stated, "You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy." Not taking things lightly, Kardashian retorted that the rapper was the one who built her up to be "a sexy person and have confidence." She added that just because Kanye is on a journey of transformation, it doesn't mean that she is in the same spot as him. Kanye replied with a simple "okay," and walked out.
While things reached a boiling point between the two, during the MET Gala 2019, Kanye changed his mind about his ladylove's dress, as she killed it on the red carpet.
