Kanye West has been proclaiming the biblical word with his own church and Sunday services for a while now. But the rapper recently opened up about his spiritual journey and spoke in-depth about how his transformation happened over the years. Kanye, who recently dropped Jesus Is King album, revealed that God has been calling him for a long time. Appearing at a service in Houston, Kanye said, "I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil’s been distracting me for a long time."
The rapper also proclaimed himself the "greatest artist god ever created". He said, "Jesus has won the victory. I told you about my arrogance and cockiness already. Now the greatest artist that God has ever created is now working for him," with a smile on his face.
Speaking about how it all began, Kanye confessed, "I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil’s been distracting me for a long time. When I was in my lowest points, God was there with me and sending me visions and inspiring me," he revealed, referring to his 2016 hospitalisation during his Saint Pablo tour. The rapper was also accompanied by his wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North West who attended the service.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Kanye has declared himself as the greatest artist. In an earlier interview, he had said, "I am unquestionably, undoubtedly the greatest human artist of all time. It’s just not even a question anymore at this point. It’s just a fact."
