John Oliver's 2018 video stating royal family may cause Meghan Markle 'emotional complications' goes viral
John Oliver had appeared on Stephen Colbert's show back in 2018 a few months before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were set to tie the knot.
After all this time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spoke their heart out when they recently appeared for their first ever candid chat with Oprah Winfrey. While the interview dropped some bombshells that one could only imagine happening in a movie, the aftermath has been equally ugly. Amidst all of this, talk show host John Oliver has been trending on social media for an important reason.
Turns out, John Oliver's 2018 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as a guest has been going viral for his strange prediction capabilities. Back then, Oliver had appeared on the show a few months before Harry and Meghan were set to tie the knot.
When asked if he was excited about royal weddings, Oliver, a Brit himself, said, "I would not blame (Meghan) if she pulled out of this at the last minute. I don't think you need to have just seen the pilot episode of The Crown to get a basic sense that she might be marrying into a family that could cause her some emotional complications."
Taking host Stephen Colbert by surprise, Oliver went on to add, "They're an emotionally stunted group of fundamentally flawed people doing a very silly pseudo-job. That's what she's marrying into. So I hope she likes it. It's going to be weird for her. I would not marry into the royal family. I'm a commoner. I would not be welcomed — especially after what I've just said," he joked.

A section of netizens shared the clip on social media observing how accurate John Oliver's observations were. Meghan and Harry revealed receiving no support while the Duchess' mental health continued to deteriorate. Meghan went on record and acknowledged that she did not wan to be "alive" anymore in her chat with Oprah.
