John Cena to star in Fast and Furious 9; shares the news with his fans on Twitter
John Cena will join the star cast of Fast and Furious 9 as the film will go on floors in the coming weeks. The wrestler took to Twitter and shared the news with his fans.
Last year, John Cena had expressed that he wants to feature in a Fast and Furious film alongside his fellow WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson. In an interview, he had said, "That stuff is beyond my control, but I would absolutely love that opportunity. That, for me, would be a dream. I'm never really like, 'Oh, I'd like to work with this person,' but I just think between our chemistry in the live performance setting, there's something certainly there with The Rock. So that would be my one name on the wish list."
Well, a lot of fans too want John to enter the Fast and furious franchise. However, John's wish to work with Dwayne might not get fulfilled, if reports are to be believed. Dwayne Johnson is already starring in Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw. Meanwhile, sharing the good news with his fans, John Cena took to his Twitter and wrote, "For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family." Well, many people reacted to this and expressed their joy.
Fast & Furious 9 franchise is expected to go on floors very soon. The fans are glad that Michelle Rodriguez will return for the ninth installment. As before, she said that no female writer will imply to her exit. The actress had revealed, People reports, "Yeah, I’m gonna do 9. Donna [Langley, Chairman of Universal Pictures] came on board, the woman came on board at the studio, and agreed to have that female voice on board so the guys aren’t basically interpreting that female voice on paper. ‘Cause it’s annoying, I rewrite all my stuff! I’m tired of being a writer and an actress, you know? It’s kind of cool that I had that freedom, but it’s frivolous."
