Jessica Biel urged Justin Timberlake to issue a public apology & clear the air on Alisha Wainwright scandal?

He might have put a lid to the scandal with his statement but it was Justin Timberlake's wife Jessica Biel who asked him to publically clear the air on his PDA with Alisha Wainwright. For those who have forgotten, Timberlake was spotted holding his Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright a few weeks ago. The photos spread like wildfire and raised a cause of concern among fans. While several sources close to the situation assured that there was nothing romantic between the two stars, Timberlake put speculations to rest when he issued a statement on photos and apologised to his wife. 

However, a new report suggests that the public apology was Biel's idea. A source told Us Weekly, the actor's wife encouraged the star to issue the public apology because she was "embarrassed by his actions and wanted him to take accountability.” Despite the sentiments, the insider assures that the couple is still together. 

A few days ago, Timberlake took to Instagram and issued an apology. The actor confessed it was a "strong lapse in judgement” after drinking “way too much that night.” He assured his wife and his fans that “nothing happened between” the two stars. “I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it,” his statement read.
