Jennifer Lopez reveals she did Hustlers for FREE; says she banks on herself

Jennifer Lopez has come a long way since Jenny From The Block! For years, Jennifer Lopez starred in romantic comedies that showed off her acting skills but her potential was just way too high. We were proved correct in this year's Hustlers, where JLo flaunted her dramatic chops as Ramona and delivered an outstanding performance. When the reviews were in, Jennifer was praised for her act and even garnered major Oscar buzz! Hustlers was not just critically acclaimed but the Lorene Scafaria directorial also earned major moolah at the box-office.
But, did you know that Lopez did Hustlers for free? That's right! Making the shocking revelation during her interview for GQ's Men of the Year issue, the 50-year-old actress confessed, "I do things because I love them. I didn't get paid a whole bunch of money for Hustlers. I did it for free and produced it. I bank on myself. That's the Jenny From the Block. I do what I want, I do what I love. But it was kind of a really different mindset to get into to play Ramona."
Furthermore, Jennifer is extremely proud of Hustlers referring to the film as a "moment" for women everywhere since it's all about the women producers, a woman director and an all-women cast. "We've been watching men take advantage of women in movies a long time. And so it was a fun kind of ride to see the tables turn," Lopez quipped.
