Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez made headlines last week when the singer's 50th birthday party was all the rage on social media. Apart from throwing an extravagant bash, Alex amped up the celebrations by gifting Jennifer Lopez a fancy red Porsche. The singer proclaimed that her fiance has indeed given her back her independence. Why you ask? In a video shared by Alex Rodriguez on his YouTube channel, the professional basketball player revealed that Jennifer hasn't driven in 25 years.
So, in a way it was giving back Lopez her independence via a super special gift on her 50th birthday. In the video, Alex Rodriguez can be seen blindfolding Jennifer before revealing the big surprise. “What do you get someone who already has everything?” Rodriguez asked. “You have to be creative,” he says in the video.
The surprise which took place outside their Miami house saw Alex and Jennifer's kids teaming up for the perfect birthday event. Alex's daughters Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11 (who he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez) and Lopez’s kids Maximillian and Emme came together and safely delivered the luxury car by driving it up the driveway.
A mindblown Jennifer Lopez could not believe her eyes and in excitement said, "What the hell? What is that? Oh my God! I’m going to have to drive? It’s beautiful! I’ve never driven a car like that!" she said as she hugged the kids. "I’ve never had a car like this. I’ve never driven a car, period! My heart’s beating out of my chest!" Jennifer said while embracing and kissing Alex.
