Jennifer Lopez as new Batman? Twilight star Robert Pattinson feels Hustlers star would be GREAT for the role
Jennifer Lopez expressed her interest in playing the new Batman and Robert Pattinson has given his seal of approval. Meanwhile, the Twilight star confessed he wants to a dance movie.
When the news broke out about Warner Bros' hunt for the new Batman, fans pitched several names to the studio. From Kit Harington to Armie Hammer and Richard Madden, several actors were fan favourites to play the next Batman. However, Twilight star Robert Pattinson bowled Matt Reeves over and was chosen to fill the shoes of Ben Affleck as the new Batman. While the announcement was received with mixed reactions, DC fans are finally getting used to the fact that Rob will be the new Batman, Jennifer Lopez expressed her interest in playing the new Batman.
The actress, who is one of the Oscars 2020 frontrunners courtesy her jaw-dropping role in Hustlers, featured on Variety's "Actors on Actors" series with Pattinson and discussed where Batman was discussed. She confessed Pattinson would make a "great" and "awesome" Batman.
It was during their talk that JLo confessed she would give Batman's role a shot. “You would be as well,” Pattinson offered. Lopez’s reply: “I could be Batman. Why not? I think as an actor, it would be fun to explore.” If Jennifer is roped in, it would be an interesting take on the DC superhero. Do you think JLo would make for a good Batman? While JLo wants to play the Batman, Pattinson revealed his interest in starring in a dance movie, ballet to be precise. "Something I was trying to find for years was to do a ballet movie. And then my agent was like, ‘Why? Do you know how to ballet?' I'm like, ‘No.'" Jennifer asked, "Why, Bobby, tell us?! Is there something fascinating to you about the world of being a male ballet dancer?” Pattinson replied, “I think there’s a ballerina inside me.” “Yeah, there’s a ballerina in there. It’s the dance," she said.
