Jenna Dewan REVEALS heartbreaking details about Channing Tatum divorce; was blindsided by Jessie J romance
In her new book, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, Jenna Dewan revealed some heartbreaking details about dealing with her divorce with ex-husband Channing Tatum. The World of Dance judge also confessed that she found out about Channing dating Jessie J along with the rest of the world.
Once upon a time, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were the Hollywood couple to look up to in terms of literal relationship goals. The couple, who met on the sets of Step Up (2006), got married in 2009 and welcomed a baby girl named Everly Tatum in 2013. However, in April 2018, the couple jointly announced their separation. But October 2018, Channing had moved on with singer Jessie J while Jenna found love with actor Steve Kazee. For the sake of their daughter, the exes are on friendly terms but Jenna's new book may tarnish it to an extent.
Titled Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, via E! News, the soon-to-be mother revealed how she coped after splitting with Channing, especially with the media scrutiny. "The separation tested me in ways I hadn't thought possible. I started to wonder if everything I believed in and always talked about was real. Could anyone or anything ever be trusted?," Jenna questioned. Furthermore, Dewan made the shocking revelation that she found out about Channing's new relationship, along with the rest of the world.
"I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn't have to face–and over the internet, as it was happening. There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship. I felt blindsided. Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult," the 38-year-old actress revealed.
The World of Dance judge also confessed that there were several unsent tweets that spoke what was exactly on her mind. "My instinct is to fight back, set the record straight. What stops me every time is: 'Choose to say what you would want yourself to live with a week from today.' Or, 'Choose what you would want Everly to read when she's older,'" Jenna stated.
