Jenna and Channing split last year after being married for eight long years. The couple, who have a six-year-old daughter, are now on cordial terms and keep her at the centre of all things.
In her book, Jenna opened up about her divorce to Tatum and has written, "Here’s the honest truth about my breakup: Yes, I carried a rose quartz in my bra and yes, I took herbal supplements to help me heal, but also my mom flew in to be by my side and I called my friends late at night to sob into their ears." She added, "You need to embrace it all and allow everything positive and productive to be part of the process. It is very important to surround yourself with people who lift you up, make you feel love and appreciated."
The former lovers, who met on the set of the 2006 movie Step Up, tied the knot in 2009 and announced their separation in a joint statement in April 2018. Jenna also had words of advice. She wrote, "My advice to anyone going thorough heartbreak is this: acknowledge your emotions and do the work. Meet with a therapist, look into breathwork, meditate, take walks in nature, and have wine with your friends. By moving through each day, I was able to gracefully make it to the other side. In the end, you will be a stronger, more expanded, even happier version of yourself."
