Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters 3’s title REVEALED? Find out
Ghostbusters 2020 is ruling all the headlines at the moment, and the upcoming film is getting directed by Jason Reitman has been reportedly revealed.
The fourth film of the famous Ghostbusters franchise is getting directed by Jason Reitman and is going to hit theatre screens next year. But, the makers haven’t announced the title of this film that has a provisional name ‘Ghostbusters 2020’ for some time now. Meanwhile, it has been reported by an Italian movie website Badtaste.it that the film is going to be titled as ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’.
Well, the rumoured title seems to be a perfect fit with the plot details of this sequel. Recently, it was announced that the film is going to be a follow-up of the events of Ghostbusters and its sequel Ghostbusters II. On top of that, it was stated that the film isn’t going to have any connection with that female-led Ghostbusters reboot from Paul Feig. The plot of the film is going to bring the story of a small family that shares a connection with the characters of the original film.
The reason for this has been explained by Reitman during a fan fest to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first Ghostbusters film in June. Reitman disclosed the reason behind going back, as he said, “I feel like part of making what we call GB20, the next one, is a form of archaeology. It is oddly in many ways an archaeological film. And we are kind of looking through the past and I’ve been asking myself all the time ‘What is it that makes it a Ghostbusters movie? What makes a Ghostbusters ghost a Ghostbusters ghost?’ So getting to see this original footage has been extraordinary. It’s been like finding the hidden opening to a pyramid.”

Well, the stakes are high for this Ghostbusters film as it has already declared a star-studded cast that includes Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and many others.
