Hustlers star Jennifer Lopez: A director at a fitting asked me to take my top off, he wanted to see my b**bs
Jennifer Lopez openly spoke about her own #MeToo story where a director once asked the Hustlers star to take her top off as he wanted to see her chest. Read below to know more about what JLo had to say about the horrific incident.
2019 was THE year for one Jennifer Lopez, in both the professional and personal sense. JLo will soon be marrying the love of her life, Alex Rodriguez, as the two got engaged this year. They are pretty much the epitome of the classic modern family! On the other hand, the actress is also making major Oscar buzz in her leading role as Ramona Vega in Lorene Scafaria's Hustlers. However, her journey to superstardom was not an easy one and during The Hollywood Reporter's annual Actress Roundtable, Jennifer got brutally candid about her #MeToo story.
"A director at a fitting asked me to take my top off because I was supposed to do nudity in the movie. He wanted to see my b**bs. And I was like, 'We're not on set,'" the 50-year-old actress shared and added, "I said no, I stood up for myself. But it was so funny because I remember being so panicked in the moment... Luckily a little bit of the Bronx came out, and I was like, 'I don't have to show you my [breasts]. No. On the set, you see them."

Lopez was also quick to point out that there was a woman costume designer in the room with the actress and the director when the incident took place. As soon as the filmmaker left, the designer came up to JLo and said sorry for what happened. Eventually, the director too apologised to the Hustlers star. "If you give in, in that moment, all of a sudden that person is off and running, thinking they can do whatever they want," Jennifer shared noting that her stopping the advance was an important accomplishment for herself as a woman.
When it comes to the sets of Hustlers, there was a comfort coach for the nudity sequences. "[The coach] made everybody on the set comfortable with what they were doing, because we had a lot of women who were half-dressed or naked, topless," Lopez revealed.
An inspiration, indeed!
