This is how Taylor Swift reacted to John Travolta's on stage goof up at VMAs 2019
One of the highlights of the evening was John Travolta mistaking drag queen Jade Jolie for Taylor Swift while presenting the award for Video of the Year.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2019 were a huge treat for fans from all over as their favourite music artists took the stage by storm one at a time. But one of the highlights of the evening was John Travolta mistaking drag queen Jade Jolie for Taylor Swift at the awards show. The 'Lover' singer won the award for Video of the Year for her powerful "You Need to Calm Down" visual. And to receive the award, Taylor Swift along with the cast and crew of the video, including RuPaul's Drag Race alum Jade Jolie, took the stage.
Travolta, who was presenting the award, was spotted on camera handing over the award to Jade Jolie as he thought that was actually Taylor Swift. Video of the moment, in which Travolta attempted to hand the award to Jade Jolie, made its way to social media and has since gone viral.
Turns out, Taylor did not take Travolta's gesture to heart and instead found it hilarious. "He was so confident that it was her," Todrick Hall, who co-executive produced the video, said on the Jerry O' show Wednesday. "I loved it, I saw it and we talked about it backstage. Taylor thought it was hilarious," E!News reported.
Jade Jolie, who is a Taylor Swift impersonator, also took to Instagram to share the on-stage goof up and wrote, "Almost got my first award tonight thanks to @johntravolta." Check out the video below:
