Hollywood Newsmakers of the Week: Brad Pitt's tattoo, Selena Gomez teases new music & Emilia Clarke in India

It has been a rather musical week on the Hollywood front of things. After the D23 ruled the previous week, all things music made the headlines in the week gone by. The week began with the star-studded MTV Video Music Awards 2019. For the unversed, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande were the highest nominated stars of the awards show this year. While the VMAs' winner list was the talk of the town, the mind-blowing performances also caught everyone's attention. From Swift to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, there were several stars who set the stage on fire.

Another musical moment that caught everyone's attention was Selena Gomez teasing new music. The singer shared pictures from the studio confirming that she is making some new tunes. Sticking on to music, Justin Bieber too was spotted at the church giving a musical performance. On one hand while musicians were making our hearts flutter, Ed Sheeran dropped the mic and announced he was going on a break from live performances for 18 months.

Meanwhile, the 76th annual Venice Film Festival is taking place and several stars are making their way to the annual film fest. While the movies showcased at the fest are making the noise, Brad Pitt caught everyone's attention with his new tattoo. Here's a look at the biggest newsmakers of the week:

Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Sophie Turner and more at MTV VMAs 2019:

The VMAs took place on Monday and several celebrities turned heads. Taylor got everyone talking with her performance on her recently released song Lover. Camila and Shawn set the stage on fire with their sizzling performance on Señorita. Miley Cyrus also gave her first performance since her split from Liam Hemsworth. But it was Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner who stole the thunder of the show. Priyanka Chopra photoshopping herself into the viral Nick Jonas VMAs photo:

Priyanka Chopra couldn't make it to the VMAs this year. So, when the announcer revealed Jonas Brothers have bagged an award for Sucker, Nick stood lonely smiling at the crowd while Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas kissed Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas respectively. The lonely boy Nick photo went viral. Soon after, Priyanka shared a picture of the photo, photoshopping herself into the moment. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez returned to their respective music this week. While Justin shared a video of himself singing at the church to thank God and his wife for all their love and support, Selena shared pictures from the recording studio to tease that new music is coming our way. Ed Sheeran takes an 18-month break from concerts:

"This is my last gig for probably 18 months," announced Sheeran during his final Divide tour concert to shock everyone. The singer, who has been on the road for two years now, thanked his fans as he made the announcement about his break. Stormi's red carpet debut:

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's daughter Stormi Webster made her red carpet debut at the premiere of a documentary made on Travis' life. The rapper was seen sporting a chocolate brown suit whereas Kylie stunned in a white bodycon dress. The couple posed with their daughter and were seen showering her with love. Brad Pitt's new tattoo:

The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star was spotted at the Venice Film Festival this week. He was at the film festival to promote his upcoming sci-fi film Ad Astra. During one of his spottings, the cameras captured his new mysterious tattoo. The actor has got a new ink next to a tattoo dedicated to his wife. The new tattoo features a man with a shadow. Indian fans of Game of Thrones went into a collective meltdown when Emilia Clarke announced she was in India. Khaleesi was in the country with Game of Thrones co-star and Kit Harington's wife Rose Leslie. Emilia shared a slew of pictures from her stay and fans couldn't believe their eyes.
