Hobbs & Shaw 2: Keanu Reeves to star in Fast & Furious spin off movie's sequel? Find Out
After the release of Hobbs & Shaw, rumours sparked suggesting Keanu Reeves could join the sequel of the Fast & Furious spinoff. Hobbs & Shaw writer spills the beans.
While all eyes are set on Fast & Furious 9, Hobbs & Shaw producers are already sitting to plan the sequel to the summer release. Earlier this year, the Fast & Furious spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham made its way to the box office and put up an impressive show. The movie featured several intriguing elements, including Ryan Reynolds' cameo. While several elements were discussed, fans speculated Keanu Reeves was a part of Hobbs & Shaw. Clearing the air on the speculation, Hobbs & Shaw producer and writer Chris Morgan confirmed that the John Wick star wasn't present in the movie.
In a conversation wtih Comicbook.com, Morgan revealed that Reeves wasn't a part of the first Hobbs & Shaw movie. However, that doesn't mean he wouldn't feature in the second one. Morgan revealed that Reeves was considered for the first part but due to scheduling issues, he couldn't make it. The team is finding ways to set the actor's entry into the Fast & Furious franchise with Hobbs & Shaw 2.
"I've been trying to get him in the franchise for a while, and it's always schedule doesn't work out, or something happens. And so for Hobbs & Shaw, we had been talking to him about it early on, and then at the end of the day, it just didn't manage to work out. But listen, would I love to see Keanu fighting with or against Hobbs & Shaw? Yes. Am I going to do everything I can to make that happen moving forward? Oh, yeah," he said.
